There was a demand for many workers after the men left their jobs to join the army. Women took their place.

After recognizing the contributions of women, only some women got the right to vote - women who were nurses and women who were close relatives to soldiers.

ALL WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE

ALL WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE

In 1919, all women over the age of 21 got the right to vote.
